As the weather grew frigid, so did the Maumee River.
Crossing over the river on I-475, in Maumee, Ohio, I noticed big chunks of ice was forced ashore. I had my camera with me so I decided to get a closer look and snap a few photos.
Traveling down River Road, I went around the “Road Closed” sign as far as I could go. Near Side Cut Metro park, big slabs of ice had been blocked the road near the rapidly moving water of the Maumee River.
I was not alone in my curiosity; other people were there, too. All of us wondered what the ice damage did to the park. I guess we will have to see when the temperatures rises, and all the ice jams melt.
