The BIG, Booked & Beyond: Book Club is being held this Wednesday, June 4th in College Hall 138.
Jen Hazel and Jane Berger are hosting the Big Read Book Club this week, with the prologue of Marian Schembari’s A Little Less Broken being the book discussed.
Schembari’s book is a window into her experience being diagnosed with autism at the age of 34.
Along with Schembari’s book, two articles–How Career Services Can Help Neurodiverse Sudents and this Creating Career Pathways for Neurodiverse Students–that cover empowering neurodivergent students will also be discussed and dissected.
Wednesday’s meeting is a kick-off for many events to come, with the book club traveling to many different areas to host other gatherings.
Over the summer, the club will be covering many topics relating to issues that neurodiverse individuals face, along with finding ways for each location that the group visits to better help those impacted by the issues discussed.
The book club meetings will be open to all. Those who don’t have the opportunity to read all the related material are still encouraged to attend.
Anyone interested in attending that is from the Findlay Campus, please contact Paul Weaver for more information.
