Do you want to learn more about wines and the differences among them? Owens offers a course that teaches you that and more called Food and Wine Seminar.
This course teaches historical knowledge of wine, and matching wine with foods from different parts of the world. It also gives students an examination of wine, food and what’s involved in growing, handling and treating wine and food.
Teacher William Powell said, “The students are working on creating a dish and pairing it with a type of wine. Students also have to work on table service from the perspective of a server and engaging the guest while talking to them about wine.”
To participate in the class, you must have taken FNH 112 Quantity Food Preparation FNH 220 Dining Room & Beverage Management.
